Clan Symbol:
Clan Name: Akimichi
Clan History: Unlike many clans, the Akimichi are scattered across the continent- the largest compound, in the Ogre Province of Mountain Country, tends to see itself as allied with Chusekigakure. Many of the clan are made up of civilians, and they are often seen as the most ‘of the people’ of the northern shinobi clans. This compound was built during the first Yamakage’s term as the clan arrived from Marsh Country, due to a disagreement between the Senju and Nara. Strangely enough, they seem to have bonded with the Kaguya clan the most- even going so far as to support them when push came to shove in a later civil war. The symbol of this alliance is a Blowfish, and the two clans often incorporate this symbolism into their clothing as proof of their bond.
They proved invaluable during the Great Northern Famine, and it was after this time that they were truly seen as an ally of the north. It is tradition for the clan head and their family to include the kanji for ‘butterfly’ in their name, a tradition that remained from when they were still allies with the Yamanaka and Nara.
The Akimichi tend to favor plate armor over flak jackets, due to their naturally defensive taijutsu style. Due to ancient legends within Ogre Province, the old clan heads have historically been depicted with horns, something which is usually encouraged within the clan. The duality between the gentleness of a butterfly and the ferocity of a demon is a reoccuring theme within Akimichi folklore.
Clan Traits:
-Multi Size Technique: Akimichi who select this trait gain access to the hiden yang release techniques of the clan, and by extension are able to create variances how they see fit. These jutsu can be taught to non clan members, but techniques learned in this manner have double EXP cost. Akimichi clansmen who refuse to take on this trait upon creation are described as having a birth defect which naturally suppresses the capability of forming such a unique chakra form, effectively becoming unable to learn multi-size techniques.
-Akimichi Style Taijutsu: Naturally defensive fighters, the Akimichi are terrifying on the battlefield, especially when paired up with their Kaguya allies. This trait grants an Akimichi an additional secondary specialty slot solely for taijutsu.
-Husky: By taking this trait, stamina becomes the average of the highest two physical stats rather than all three.
Clan Bloodline: --
Joining Requirements: Be born, married, or adopted into the clan.
