Clan Symbol:
Clan Name: Hozuki
Clan History: The Hozuki, originally from the surrounding area of the Gulf of Storms to the East, tend to have close connections with Sea Country’s criminal underworld. After a costly war with Canyon Country around two hundred years ago, which resulted in the almost-dissolution of the country’s military forces, the Hozuki took over as effective law enforcement towards the East. They used their criminal connections to maintain a strict pecking order, with the clan at the top.
Despite their underworld connections, they have good relations with the Yamanaka clan, not unlike that of the Kaguya and Akimichi of Mountain country. They have been the most compliant with the Hoshigaki’s rule, but still vye to put someone sympathetic to their cause as Umikage. They tend to run many casinos, both in and out of the country, through which they bring in wealth to their village.
They currently live near the Yamanaka’s water garden district, in an open compound. They are the most open about marrying civilians and other strangers into their family of all the Shimagakure clans. They run three casinos in the hidden village, as well as several lotteries.
Clan Traits:
-Underground Connections: A Hozuki with this trait becomes able to take wanderer/MN missions as well as their own village missions. Should these missions harm their village in any way, shape, or form, however, they'd best be prepared for the consequences...
-Waterborn: By increasing the cost of water ninjutsu, a Hozuki with this trait can negate their handseals entirely. This trait cannot be used on X-Ranked jutsu. The increased costs can be found below:
E-rank = 2
D-rank = 5
C-rank = 10
B-rank = 15
A-rank = 20
S-rank = 30
SS-rank = 50
-Hozuki Kenjutsu: Hozuki who take this trait gain a secondary specialty slot exclusively for weaponry.
Clan Bloodline: Hydrification
Joining Requirements: Be born (necessary to inherit Hydrification), married, or adopted into the clan.
