Appearance: The user burrows into the earth.
Function: The user alters the composition of the dirt, sand, or mud around them, turning it into a fine sand. They can then burrow into this material, not unlike a mole, at jutsu speed. This technique does not work on earth release jutsu constructs. The sand maintains a distance of a 3 cm radius around the user's body, before it turns back into the material it was before. The user can breathe and move freely underground, as well as sense what is happening on the surface up to 25 meters away. The user can pass this distance, but the range for surface sensing will not change. Should the duration run out, the user will be stuck underground.
