Clan History: A renowned clan from Steam Country, the Shimura are a proud patrilineal group that holds a significant sway over the country’s government. They possess no kekkei genkai, but they are not to be underestimated- they have a strong affinity for the wind chakra nature and fuuinjutsu, making them formidable foes on the battlefield. Currently, many serve as samurai within the Iron City. The clan’s founder, Touma Shimura, was said to have been a proud practitioner of Ninshu, having studied from the sage himself, but it is unknown whether that is true or if it is an embellishment perpetuated by the clan to increase their prestige.

They have remained firmly neutral since the foundation of the Hidden Villages, and as a result, it is usually them who host the villages for the Kage Summit. They seem to have a reputation in their home country of honorable yet fierce warriors, and as a result are often called to settle disputes. Their compound is located in one of the upper districts of the Iron City, near the Daimyo’s palace.

Clan Traits:
-Wind Mastery: When casting a wind element ninjutsu, a person with this trait can choose to enhance the base power, speed, or durability of that technique by one rank. Only one category can be boosted in this manner at a time. This ability can only be used once per thread.

-Shimura-Style Fuuinjutsu: A Shimura clansman who takes this trait gains a secondary specialty slot exclusively for fuuinjutsu.

-Will of Iron: Genjutsu cast on a Shimura who takes this trait are counted as having 40 less power for the purpose of breaking out. Genjutsu power cannot be reduced below 1 in this manner.
