Clan History: The Uzumaki come from the village of Onami to the west, an ancient settlement steeped in layers of tradition until they were conquered by the Hoshigaki, Yamanaka, and Hozuki in 675. Onami eventually became Shimagakure, the only remnants of their old homeland being a small district surrounded by a fuuinjutsu barrier. Incredibly superstitious, the Uzumaki believe in both gods and Yokai alike. Out of everyone in Sea Country, they seem to be the most dissatisfied with Hoshigaki rule, but lack the numbers or political sway to fight back. They aspire to put an Uzumaki candidate on the seat of the Umikage, putting them at odds with the Hozuki, Yamanaka, and Hoshigaki alike.
Due to the razing of the majority of Onami, most of the clan history has been lost to the ages. Some optimistic younger ninja are trying to rebuild the archives and start a new legacy in Hidden Island, but the remaining elders believe that their best days are behind them.
Clan Traits:
-Sealing Arts: An Uzumaki that takes this trait can use Fuinjutsu up to 1 rank higher than their specialties would usually enable (SS-ranks if Fuinjutsu is secondary, S-ranks if Fuinjutsu is tertiary, and B-ranks if they do not take Fuinjutsu as a specialty).
-Crashing Wave Style: The signature Taijutsu style of the Uzumaki, often used in conjunction with Chakra Chains. Members who take this trait ignore half an opponent's strength rounded down for the purpose of grappling or countering.
-Sealing Overload: Uzumaki with this trait can overpower their fuuinjutsu, increasing it's power to one rank above what it would normally be. This ability can only be used once per thread.
