Four years ago..."Yuki... Kishi."The two names gently uttered through Sayaka's lips with increasing interest each time she repeated it. There was no doubt she ever forgotten who this woman was. She was the same woman she granted her and her family refuge four years ago when they fled their home village, Chusekigakure. It wasn't the first time she accepted those from major villages or really any village in that matter into her own home within her presidency as the current Taiyokage. She was very selective with who she wanted and had rejected many applicants even in their most dire moments. Oh, how her heart was broken each time she had to say "no" or "we cannot accept you into the village"! She only did what she felt was morally correct for the sake of her village. After all, outsiders can be trouble. But no, this was a special outsider that Sayaka welcomed with open arms. It was a Yuki who hailed from Chusekigakure, a village that was far more brutal in fiery temperature versus a village that was lethal with even the coldest of breezes. She never understood why they wanted to come stay in Sakyugakure in the first place. Yuki clan members, a clan that's based around freezing temperatures and practically lived in the snow, wanted to reside in the blazing heat. It was practically nonsense! Then again, she wanted to see how it would play out. She was intrigued that people who were so immune to the harshly cold environment live in a setting completely opposite of what they're used. Poor thing didn't have a mother with her. Only assumptions told the Taiyokage that her mother must've been killed or left behind during the civil war. Sayaka had kept close tabs on this Kishi woman and her family. She was... curious of this woman and her family. She didn't know why, but something told her to take her in. But not as just a citizen of Sakyugakure and live as such, but something higher than that. Her kekkei genkai was, as expected, what caught Sayaka's attention, let alone the clan name. Sayaka wanted her... to work with her. Yes, she saw something within the woman that couldn't even be expressed in words. She would be a force to be reckoned with if she worked with the Taiyogakure! Yet there was a dilemma to recruiting Kishi into working with her. Rumors. Oh yes, word travels fast around this village. Especially if it involved not just Sayaka as a person, but her history and parents' own. Surely the woman would be far from trusting Sayaka if such rumors and statements gotten to her. ...Which was why Sayaka intentionally gathered more wealthy businesses that were located close to her father's and sister's and ordered them to harass Kishi's family to the point of forcing Kishi to take matters into her own hands which landed her in this lovely prison for a few months. After those few months had passed, Sayaka had finally decided to pay the woman a visit. It would be the second time they would meet face to face; well, except they would be divided by the cell bars. Why did it take Sayaka so long to pay Kishi a visit after so many months that passed by? Simple: she had other matters to intend to. The Taiyokage casually strolled down the darkly lit halls that held various cells next to and across from each other. The atmosphere was far from what some may hoped to be somewhat of chilled yet eerily quiet. It was chilled, though it was filled with nothing but various noises that decorated the cold air that was held in the prison; horrified shrieks, screams of pure rage that cussed Sayaka's name, and other sounds that would make someone's first visit to the prison become petrified echos. It wouldn't also help to witness blood splattered not only in most of the prisoners' cells, but also on the floors and walls of the halls. To Sayaka, it was a gorgeous sight to witness. She couldn't help but felt a big satisfied smile creep onto her lips as the horrified sounds played finely into her ears and took in some of the fresh iron splattered around the halls. "Ah... what an amazing view." She cooed to herself in delight. Finally, she arrived to Yuki Kishi's cell with a smile that transformed from satisfaction to mischief and smugness. "My, my, my. If it isn't the beautiful ice queen who caused a ruckus." She called to the woman in a slightly mocked tone. At first, she kept a reasonable distance between herself and the bars. Sayaka was far from being scared of what Kishi could do. She just wanted to see the woman's reaction to the Taiyokage finally speaking to her. She expected either of the two reactions: anger or flat out ignoring her from past experience with scenarios like this. "You've made quite a commotion in the Bazaar. You've even went as far as to kill some business owners! Those poor, innocent business owners..." Sayaka trailed off, her smile temporarily shifted to a pout of sorrow while she shook her head. "Tell me, did killing those owners and tarnishing their business... was it all worth it?"WC: 877

Both eyes were closed and hands behind her head. Kishi was on her back and laid right on the dried up splatter of what was once her own blood that was first drawn from her very first torture a few months ago. She was in raggedy bright brown clothing that was torn in both her short sleeved t-shirt and her shorts and no footwear provided. There were but a few scars that were sculpted onto her skin, mostly around her back and upper body. Bags formed under her eyes from the lack of sleep ever since her arrival to this prison. Her long black hair was messy; strands of hair stuck out a little as if she were shocked. Of course, it was very possible getting shocked was a torture method she experienced in a wild prison like this one.
She had only been locked up for a few months, yet it felt like she's been here for years. When she was out there, trying to fit in, trying to provide for her family and protect them at all costs, time just flew. Kishi was just beginning to get herself accustomed to Sakyugakure until her family was attacked by other businesses. Kishi wanted to do something, but had to be held back if it meant not getting into trouble and not getting removed from the village. But Kishi's patience ran thin when it almost costed their life. It was time for her to act, to get revenge, to kill.
Alas, that was when authorities became concerned and arrested Kishi instead. It was because she was an outsider. That's why. They only looked out for only those that were birth citizens of the village. No, they only looked out for those that had money; those that could help the authorities in return for something for their own gains. The rich were essentially protected and favored, but it wouldn't any rich person, business, or family. It was a selective few who they knew that were privileged if they knew the right person. And Kishi had a very clear idea of who would most likely fit to be the right person:
Sayaka Chinoike, the third Taiyokage. Kishi had heard many accusations and rumors that lingered within the village. Her parents involved in an illegal trade that brought them to wealth, killing four genin when she was one herself, and the list went on. It was even said that Sayaka loved to abuse her power and terrorize her own people for the sake of using their fear as amusement, yet nothing was being done about it. The only thing they could do was live their lives and hope not to get caught in Sayaka's crossfire.
Just from those murmurs alone, Kishi wanted to leave Sakyugakure. This Sayaka woman was not what she thought she was at all. When Kishi first met her when her family wanted to say, she was so nice, understanding, and seemed like someone anyone could trust. But now, even before she was in prison, she could see the corruption. The authorities taking her away, people who protested against her were quickly silenced permanently, etc. That Sayaka wasn't what she seemed to be. She was vindictive, coldly calculative, and-
"My, my, my. If it isn't the beautiful ice queen who caused a ruckus."
Kishi didn't quickly react to the familiar voice of the owner that she wanted to strangle so badly. Instead, she rose an eyelid up to reveal her bright red eye towards the figure. An eye that was relaxed, but ready to attack when the time came. There, she saw a pink haired woman with blue eyes staring down at Kishi with a smug expression. How she'd like to wipe that disgusting smile off her precious face. If only these bars weren't in the way. Even if Kishi may lose, all she wanted to do was to just punch Sayaka right in the face. Just once. Maybe more if the opportunity was given to her.
Sayaka even went on to mock Kishi for what she did, like a child that stole candy from a store. But she knew. She knew that her family was in trouble and did nothing about it. The people that harassed her family was free from consequences and Sayaka's wrath. But when Kishi came in and served her own justice? She was the one that had to fucking suffer. It pissed her off. Kishi immediately pulled herself up on her feet, muffled and pained groans made in the process from the scars inflicted on her. Her teeth gritted in pure rage as she stomped towards the bars, hands curled into fists and eyes furrowed in rage.
"When you didn't do shit to protect my family, to save them from almost getting fucking killed, and those rich bastards got away with it before I decided to take matters into my own hands?" She questioned with a slightly hoarse voice. "If it meant teaching them a lesson or two about justice, of what happens if they dare go to far, I'd say let me travel back in time to relive the glorious moments of ripping their hearts out of their chests!" She yelled.

"...Hmph."
Sayaka couldn't help but break her pout lightly snickered at Kishi's rage and outburst. It was just so adorable! The way it looked like Kishi was about to hurt even though not only could she do nothing about it when she was behind the cell bars, but Sayaka could just easily take her down if they were face to face without the bars. But where was the fun in that? Just witnessing the sight of Kishi's anger made Sayaka tempted to slide her hand through the bars and give the woman a gentle pat on the head, as if she were a small animal in need of affection. Well, technically, in Sayaka's domain, everyone that was in prison was her pet. No, the whole village was her zoo and she was the keeper. It's just that those that break the law or speak out against her had... special positions and roles to someone like her.
"Ah, of course! Those BLOODY rich people picking on the poor and abusing their power! And to even get away with it for so long! Despicable, I tell you!" Sayaka exclaimed in woe, closed her eyes, leaned back a little, and even placed the back of her hand against her forehead for exaggeration. Although she had up a dramatic act, it was still clear that her smug smirk was still in tact. Like it was all just a joke to this woman. "Oh, how I could have done something sooner for such events to be prevented! Everyone would still be alive! Everyone would've went along gracefully!"
Sayaka took a moment to stop herself to regain her posture. She stood up straight, opened both eyes, removed her hand from her shoulder and leaned closer to the bars. Her smug smirk grew wider as she tilted her head in excitement. "Yet the only people that have died were in your hands while your family is still alive and breathing." She sighed and shook her head at the jailed woman in slight disappointment. "You speak so much about injustice yet you've caused injustice..." Her voice then lowered into a sinister whisper. "There's a reason why YOU'RE the only one jailed in here from the whole ordeal unlike everyone else that were involved and had to suffer for your reckless actions, right?" She spoke.
She pulled her head back and fixed its posture, but her smirk still remained on her face before she rose her voice to a normal volume. "Taking matters on your own where it would involve taking lives and calling it 'justice' doesn't match up to Sakyugakure's own standards of justice. Unless you were ordered to or if the situation was extremely dangerous, under no circumstances should a shinobi try to take the law into their own hands if it meant killing someone. A lot of prisoners around here have used the same excuse you did. Acting like they can be above the law however they please. And look what happens. The law speaks up and shows you who's really in charge." She explained.
"And it's a shame too. I thought I could trust outsiders. People that aren't from this village to make it their new home like you. But it seems this situation isn't in your favor to believe I should give you a second chance too, of all things." Sayaka clicked her tongue.
"Should I... perhaps... remove you from the village? Permanently, may I add? I don't want you terrorizing my village or my people the longer your stay is. Perhaps I should also have your family come down with you. Decisions, decisions, decisions~" She cooed with bitterly sweet delight.

Kishi could only stare on in anger as she listened to the other woman speak such insensitivity. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Sayaka, who was the Taiyokage, the same woman who held the most power of Sakyugakure, shifted the blame onto her instead. It was her fault that she was in jail and not once did Sayaka ever pointed out the wrongdoings of the businesses that harassed the only family she clung onto. She even had the audacity to mock the circumstances she been through and what had cost her. To add more salt to the burn, she even threatened her own family all of all things.
What a disgusting human being.
"So you're going to accept a bunch of people from your village who you think who can do no wrong in your village over people that aren't natives that were tormented by them? Have you no sense of justice?" It was then Kishi's turn to whisper, but in an aggravated hiss. That was the only thing she could do; be aggravated in this horrific jail cell and express her anger. She could only watch the woman be entertained by Kishi's frustrations yet Kishi herself couldn't do anything about it.
But... Kishi took one step back from the cells that separated her and the Taiyokage. Her expression softened to a more neutral approach, but a sense of hostility could still be seen on her face. "But who the hell am I to complain about justice to someone who has a twisted sense of it?" She started off, her own voice still came off as a light sneer. It only took Kishi just a few seconds that the Taiyokage wanted her to be at her worst to further satisfy her entertainment. It looked like she got a kick out of it. She enjoyed doing it. Kishi wasn't the first victim and she wouldn't be the last.
She had to beat the Taiyokage at her own game.
"You know what? You can remove me and my family from this village." Kishi came in with a very confident tone. A pause was made to lure the Taiyokage in false belief to angering Kishi into submission. But what she said next may or may not struck a nerve to the woman.
"But let this be known. At least one of us has one of our parents alive and breathing." A quick blow to the fact that while both of Sayaka's parents were dead, Kishi still had a father despite her mother being dead.

Kishi was already on the verge of breaking and Sayaka loved every second of it. It was what she enjoyed when she came to situations like this. It was all about the control. It was far easier to get on someone's nerves and tempt them to rage when someone else has the upper hand. It was was one of the many things Sayaka enjoyed as being the Taiyokage. She had the authority, the connections, the power that she always desired when nearly the entire village was against her before becoming Kage due to her parents' rumors of illegal trades within the village that led them to wealth. Now that she was Kage, she could not only just lead the village to a greater future, but also teach the public a thing or two when messing with a woman like Sayaka.
The Yuki clanswoman appeared to shift in posture and gesture when she took a step back, almost in defeat by what Sayaka could tell. Ha. She finally caught up to the unbarring fact that she couldn't fight with someone like Sayaka. This only further stroke the woman's ego and there was no stopping her for her ego to become larger. "That's the beauty of politics, love. My sense of justice is the village's sense of justice. Whatever I say is deemed wrong will follow suit throughout the rest of Sakyugakure. The only thing you would have to do is just obey. Otherwise," She took a moment to gesture the cell that Kishi was in. "You wouldn't end up here." She continued with a wink.
It appeared Kishi had finally gave in and announced that Sayaka should remove her and her family from the village and kick them out. She was very confident about it, too. Sayaka was almost impressed that someone could give in so easily. Though, it was about time this outsider gave into what was Sayaka's truth and had accepted her fate indirectly decided by the woman herself. Before she spoke, she muffled a lighthearted giggle as a big grin spread on her lips. "Wise chose, my little icicle." She said with a satisfied sigh. "Although... I'm sorry things did not go the way you wanted and how I wanted it. You really seemed as though you could carry your own weight as a shinobi. And I'm sure that your family's business could've gone somewhere. Alas-"
Sayaka's speech fell short when Kishi interrupted her with a blurt that almost... intrigued the woman. Perhaps it was a low blow, well, rather it was a low blow, but it didn't necessarily cause an upset on her facial expression. Instead, it melted into a more thoughtful look. However, it was obvious and visible that for the first time, within this conversation so far, that there was hostility. "Such a sharp tongue you have, yet it's not sharp enough to even draw the tiniest pint of blood from my skin." She spoke coldly as her lips shaped into a pout.
"Are you a strong believer of fate? I know I am." Sayaka placed both hands behind her back as her eye contact on Kishi remained the entire time. "Yes, it's true that both of my parents are dead. How? Who knows? But for some reason, when they died, I became Taiyokage. Perhaps if they weren't dead, I wouldn't be who or where I am today." Sayaka pointed out. It was honestly a statement she couldn't stomach when she herself said it out loud, but she knew very well how to hide such an emotion. She's been in the game of politics for so long before she even got into actual politics.
"If them being alive would change my fate of being Taiyokage, then I would gladly go back in time and let nature take its course of killing my parents if it meant securing my position." Even though no one else but her knew that she killed her parents (but for a good cause in her opinion), she would have no problem doing it again if she had to make sure her position as Taiyokage remains permanent until time rightfully calls for her.
Sayaka's pout retracted back into a sickly smile once more as she rose both eyebrows. "I would even kill my own sister if it meant remaining Taiyokage." Was it true? Somewhat. It was complicated. Her sister was a pure soul who deserved the world and would protect her at all costs. But if she was told that she had to kil her own sister to secure her role as Taiyokage, then...
Sayaka always preferred being an only child, anyway.

All Kishi could do was stare down at the Taiyokage while she spoke away with no hint of sorrow or even anger. Maybe Kishi underestimated how well Sayaka took the low blow. As a matter of fact, it looked like she was thoughtful with the sudden outburst. She should've known better than to try and outsmart someone who seemed a little.. unstable. And "little" was Kishi being generous on how she viewed the Taiyokage. She visibly held her guard up, but really she was somewhat startled by the Taiyokage's response. However, she should've expected a rather cruel and unusual response like what the Taiyokage just provided.
Kishi clicked her tongue when Sayaka mentioned she would even go as far as to kill her only remaining family member if it were a requirement to stay as Taiyokage. It was disturbing. There was no doubt in her head Sayaka would even go on to massacre her own clan if it guaranteed her more power. That, or just the hell out of it from what Kishi was getting from the Taiyokage's mannerisms. She was inclined to believe the latter, but there was no doubt from her that Sayaka would also do anything for power. Deep down, she felt disgust.
"I pity you. You've practically traded your own sanity for power. And at what cost? Fear? Recognition? Respect?" Kishi questioned the woman with an arched brow. "You may be a kage, but that doesn't guarantee everyone respecting you in the slightest. Not even from a filthy outsider like me." She said.

Sayaka stifled a chuckle before she threw her head back and belted out loud laughter. Her laugh, almost sounded to be manically, went on for a full thirty seconds to the point where tears formed in her eyes. After those thirty seconds had passed, she fixed her posture and wiped away the water in her eyes. "Ah... ahaha! My, that was a beautiful joke. I'll admit, you may be a troublemaker, but you are one hell of a joker... good lord!" She said with a satisfied sigh. Oh, this Kishi woman had some josh in her. Sayaka couldn't remember the last time she laughed so hard! She hardly felt herself breathing for a moment. She could probably sign this woman up as her personal jester, but that wasn't why she brought herself down into the gutters of the prison.
The woman cleared her throat before she went on. "You wouldn't believe how many people like yourself have told me they pity me? That I've 'sold myself to the devil' for power or some other ridiculous idiom?" She asked, her voice carried casualness. "What people don't understand is that I've already sold myself to the devil long before I craved the desire to become Taiyokage; to show these children to be careful of who to ridicule or kill." Her tone then shifted over to a soft yet hostile growl. Four genin tried to murder her when she was a genin herself, but how the tables have turned when she managed to assassinate them as revenge one by one. Their blood splattered on her clothing and face, life slowly fading away from their eyes and body, and families just mourning for their loved ones. It was all music to her ears and a scenery to her eyes.
"After I became the Taiyokage, I BECAME the devil. No, I WAS the devil. No, not was... I AM the devil. I've always been the devil. I sold my soul to myself; the once innocence child who suffered from what her parents had brought upon their family to a woman who has no choice but unleash a monster that wasn't created, but been sealed for too long." The hostility temporarily faded away as it was replaced with... somewhat sorrowful tones. Truth be told, Sayaka never wanted to become the woman she was today. But fate had other plans for her. No matter what direction she ran to, what path she took, what she did, she was destined to become a monster; the villain for everyone to hate on and take down. No one could tell her otherwise. This was what she was meant to be.
But then the playful came back to Sayaka as she gently shook her head. "Oh come now, Kishi. You know I have nothing against those that aren't natives to our village. It was all but a small lighthearted joke!" She joyfully exclaimed. Sakyugakure was full of people that weren't from the village and, ninety-nine percent of the time there wasn't much discrimination that she knew of that was due to someone being an outsider. As said before, she herself had no bias against outsiders. She did, however, had a bias against those that disrupt her village. Without her permission, of course.
Sayaka then stretched a hand in between the bars to reach for Kishi's chin and give it a soft stroke. "Besides, why would I banish such an adorable face like your own? After all, I would be more inclined to slice your head off from your body and sleep next to your corpse so I could always wake up to your dead.... yet beautiful face." It would be disturbing to admit that it wouldn't be the first time that she ever done that, but Sayaka would have no shame in saying so.
"I'd be sure to preserve your beauty, even if it's only the head I have. What's on top is more important, no?

Was the Taiyokage actually opening up to Kishi? Did she imply that she didn't... always wanted to be the monster everyone feared and hated? No, it couldn't be. It was most likely a ploy to mess with Kishi and she wasn't about to fall for the woman's trap so easily. All Kishi did was scoff and sneer. "I may pity you, but I won't sympathize. Not with someone that's far from deserving it." She stated coldly. Maybe, just maybe, there could be some truth in what Sayaka said. She might have not started off being the Kage she had planned to be, but that didn't mean Kishi was going to somehow understand the woman.
"Oh, right. Of fucking course! How silly of me to take it so seriously! And I'm assuming the part where my family was attacked and almost killed was part of the joke too." Kishi snarled. Now that she thought about it, was her family attacked because they were foreign to the village? Even though that may be far from the case, it wouldn't change the fact that her family was nearly murdered, nothing was done about it, and when Kishi decided to bring in her own justice upon those businesses, she was unfairly arrested and tortured. She was damned. Very damned.
Things began to take a more disturbing twist when Sayaka was calm while she talked about preserving her beauty by beheading her and even sleep with her head. What made things worst was when her chin was being delicately stroked by the woman. Just her looking made Kishi felt revolted. Despite the soothing sensation, it felt so wrong.
Kishi immediately pulled her head back before shouting "Get your filthy hands off of my face!" She barked. "Touch me again and I swear I will come for your neck one way or another!" She yelled, her fist balled up again this time out of defense.

Pity. It was always said to her. But had the person who said it to her actually felt it? It was more out of disappointment or even envy, but rarely would anyone feel sorry for Sayaka for what she had become. When people told her that they "pity her, it wasn't out of sorrow. It translated well more into a "pity for what she has become". "Don't worry, I neither expected pity or sympathy from you. Sayaka spoke with calamity. "I did, however... expected obedience and respect for my village; two things in which you fail to comply with, with your little 'delivery' with your 'justice'. May you need yet another reminder as to why you're behind bars or are you now getting the picture?" She teased while she stuck a tongue out.
But the teasing came to a quick pause when Kishi constantly kept referring back to her family. It was fun at first to hear her woes, but at that point she slowly became bored of it. "You know," She started off as she crossed her arms. "I didn't want to bring up. Seeing how... slightly reasonable you can be." Sayaka would be one of the very last people to talk about being reasonable. Even she knows she is far from being rational. Still, it didn't stop her from bringing up a very "crucial" point that Kishi can take with a grain of salt. Or a whole cup of it. "Your family hasn't made any complaints as far as I'm concerned. If they did, we would've react immediately and have handle the situation as such." She announced.
It was a lie. Sayaka received numerous complaints and such about the harassment; their store being trashed, artwork being ruined and destroyed, getting almost killed... or something. But oh no, Sayaka couldn't take action just yet. In fact, it wasn't her that was supposed to "deliver justice". Somewhere deep inside her, she felt a little bit of remorse for what she did; to send people after Kishi's family for her to finally snap.
There were multiple ways for her to meet the woman with a more normal method. A simple call to her office would've evaded this whole ordeal. Or perhaps running into her in a more public and candid setting like a cafe. To simply put a target on Kishi's family that early costed them their lives and have Kishi react in a violent manner for her to become imprisoned so Sayaka could talk to her and recruit her? It was absolutely despicable, monstrous, and disgusting. Now that, that was her style and would be completely out of character to approach in a more tamed manner.
Sayaka casually pulled her hand back while Kishi quickly pulled herself away from her touch. Such a strong reaction she had! "Whatever do you mean by 'filthy? I've made sure that my hands were clean from blood before I cam down here! After all, I wouldn't my... guests to feel so uncomfortable." She joked. Although with the rumors that circulated around her, there could very well be a high chance that Sayaka wasn't joking at all.
However, the atmosphere became more hostile; as if it wasn't aggressive and and cold enough. And as if the strong reaction didn't intrigued Sayaka once more, a threat was declared if she were to touch her again. "...Really, now?" She cooed with a devilish smirk on her lips. She used the same hand to reach behind one of her back pockets to pull out a old, rusty bronze key. She inserted it into the cell's lock, turned it, and gently pushed it open to slip into the cell. Once she was in, she placed the key back in to lock and slid it back inside her back pocket.
She finally turned her attention back to Kishi as her smile grew wider and more daring. "Tell me, Kishi." She said when she took a few steps closer to the other woman. "I must know. Was that a threat..." A short pause was made as she jabbed her hand forward to squeeze Kishi's cheeks together and bring her closer. Kishi would've felt the immense pressure she was putting on her fingers and thumb on her face.
"Or was that an invite?"

As she should've known, the Taiyokage casually brushed off Kishi's violent rejection. Nothing was serious to this woman. It was a damn joke to this disturbed person. To Kishi's surprise, however, Sayaka pulled out a key that apparently had access to her cell. When she opened it, entered, closed and locked it, before Kishi even had any time to react, she felt her face being harshly squished together by Sayaka's hand. Pain began to circulate and pump against her cheeks, but she held her cool together.
"O-Oi!" She yelled. Kishi was ready to take on this woman and take her down. The only concern she had was whether or not it would be worth it nor knew how strong the Taiyokage was. This could either be an opportunity to finally relinquish the frustration that built up inside of her or a trap she set herself up for. As of now, Kishi could only reflect her dark red eyes to the Taiyokage's bright blue eyes in anger.
She couldn't hit her, not when there were multiple guards ready to take action if she were to even poke the woman. Not yet. That didn't mean she'd let Sayaka get away so easily from this little mind game she set up. That said, Kishi made a snorting sound before she projected spit that was aimed straight at the Taiyokage's face. She was still going to stand her guard no matter what.
"An invite." She hissed.
