Appearance: Ice release techniques range from a powdery snow to solid sheets of ice. The opacity and reflectiveness of said constructs varies depending on user and technique.
Function: The user uses the very cold itself to launch powerful techniques. Ice release jutsu are capable of slicing, granting debuffs, and even forming constructs. Ice release constructs only last the duration of the topic in which they are formed and cannot be transferred between topics. The user is capable of freezing their own water jutsu, converting them into ice release techniques. Additionally, they can freeze the water techniques of other people in place. In order to do so, the power of the user's jutsu must be at least 20 higher than the power of the colliding water jutsu.
