i. Village Upgrades
Creating Upgrades i. Village Upgrades are purchasable enhancements that are apped in the 'Village Creation and Upgrades' subforum in creation center. These upgrades are categorized into Defensive, Sensory, Buffs, and Uncategorized. Each village can only have one upgrade of each type, with the exception of Uncategorized. A village may have up to three Uncategorized upgrades. All upgrades start at 25,000 ryo, but increase depending on the strength of the upgrade itself. ii. A village may also purchase additional subforums for 10,000 ryo each. There is no limit to the amount of subforums a village can have.

ii. Events, Economy, and Travel
Village Economy i. Village income is directly based on the state of their economy. There are five ranks, and it is possible to increase or decrease in rank through in character actions. Most events only change the ranking by one level, but large or catastrophic events can change it by two. The ranks are as follows: Market Crash: 250 ryo per week Deficient: 500 ryo per week Fair: 1,000 ryo per week Strong: 2,500 ryo per week Superior: 5,000 ryo per week ii. Additionally, for every 5 player character shinobi in a village, their income increases by 1,000 ryo. Each village's total income and ryo amount is visible in a pinned thread in each village's main forum. World Events i. Every IC season, new events will be available that directly affect the villages themselves. An example of a world event includes specialty missions from the Daimyo, with the power to change a village's economy status. Although these missions have a high reward, they also come with high risk. Failure can lower your economy rank, increase the economy of a rival village, or worse. Other examples include bijuu attacks, uprisings, or international chuunin exams. Travel i. It is possible to travel between adjacent countries instantaneously with a 500 word post. However, if travelling a longer distance, you must post in the 'Country Borders' subforum and wait for 24 hours. During this time, your journey can be interrupted by other player characters. ii. In order to travel from a village, you must first exit the village in a topic labelled 'Village Exit'. Your exit must be approved by a village chuunin or higher. If there are no replies within 48 hours, you are free to leave without permission. iii. In order to enter a village, you must be within the village's country and make a topic labelled 'Village Entrance'. Your entrance must be approved by a village genin or higher. If there are no replies within 48 hours, you are free to enter without permission.

iii. Warfare and Destruction
War i. In times of dire political tension, it is possible for villages to declare war on one another. In order to attack another village directly, a thread must be posted in that village where the attacker(s) start destroying buildings, killing civilians, or other hostile actions in character. If no responses are made in 72 hours, then the defenders automatically lose. Once every defender dies or surrenders, they will lose. ii. If the attackers win, it is up to them to decide what happens to the losers in character. The village can be looted, annexed, or even completely destroyed. Characters with 100 stats or fewer will automatically survive whatever happens afterwards, as long as they survive the initial village invasion. iii. Losing a war decreases your economy by two ranks, if your village is not destroyed. Winning a war increases your economy by two ranks. Staging a Coup i. If you are unhappy with a kage's leadership IC, it is possible to overthrow them by making a topic in the main village tagged 'Village Takeover'. If nobody responds within 72 hours, you will take the kage spot for yourself while you decide what happens to the former kage. Keep in mind that once this topic is open, anyone in the village can respond however they like- so it might be a good idea to rack up supporters to protect you!

iv. Village Creation
Forming a Village i. Villages are a lot of work to form- in order to form a minor village, you must meet five separate player characters willing to make the village with you, and complete two separate A rank missions as a team apped specifically for this purpose. What they include is largely up to you, but they must detail village construction in some form or another, be it by clearing land, taking over a bandit hideout, etc. When a village is first formed this way, it will have a 'deficient' economy. You cannot hold loyalties to two villages at once- if you are part of a village and form a new one, you will be marked as a missingnin while you serve the new village. ii. If you'd like to form a major village, you must have ten other player characters and complete three separate S rank missions as a team apped specifically for this purpose. Due to the large number of participants, all members do not need to be included in the same mission, as long as all of them have completed at least one specially apped S rank. When a village is formed this way, it will have a 'fair' economy. It is also possible to be promoted to a major village after a village has ten total player characters, not counting the kage. iii. Hidden villages may not be formed in countries where a hidden village already exists. For reference as to what village is located where, check the World Map located at the top of the forum, in 'Important Links'.
